It was only by carrying out our own research on the US Zillow Website (like UK Rightmove) and receiving one of Andy's letters sent to us in the UK that I contacted him, literarily days before we were due to list our home for sale with the first realtor. Andy immediately advised the first realtor's value was too low and we listed with him at a much higher price and the home sold within 2 days. Andy is a lovely hard working down to earth guy that not only reassured us but also any potential buyers. As with any house sale queries/issues can arise, and Andy handled them in most cases without telling us so that we did not get more stressed! We know that purchasing a new home is a stressful ordeal, but really were not prepared for how the whole Real Estate market had changed. Even with the knowledge that my wife has in the business (she had been involved in Real Estate transactions for over 30 years), I don’t think anyone could have ever imagined the pace this business catapulted into !! We had been talking about moving for some a while, and decided that it was time. Little did we realize that it was also the time for this market to explode, especially in Florida ! One really could not have been prepared for the speed that houses would be listed and almost immediately be under contract, which presented even a greater dilemma for us. As the pace increased, if you were determined, this was a day to day, hour to hour, minute to minute job. I don't know how anyone else feels in this market, but trying to find and purchase a house is so incredibly difficult here in the Orlando area.
